Examples of watercolours painted by Gordon.

One of my early watercolours, like many, was painted at Falmouth in Cornwall. In this case it is a pen and ink drawing
and watercolour. ( In the pure use of watercolour, there are no dividing black lines. The division is a natural one formed
by one colour contrasting with the adjacent colour. )
Be patient with this one...it doesn't load quickly on purpose. When painting with watercolour, I start with the sky at
the top with washes. Just like the speed of loading! I then slowly work my down the page and forward to the foreground
where there is more detail.

I often painted in Cornwall. In the late 50's, Falmouth Docks were thriving as it was a busy commercial port.
Lush, green sub-tropical rain forest area
near Cairns, Australia. Watercolour painted with Rowney paints on good quality paper.
